Mathura, Uttar Pradesh: Police are looking into an incident involving a young woman and two men after a dispute arose outside a court marriage facility in Mathura.
According to local reports, a 19-year-old woman from Chhattisgarh had arrived in Mathura with a 40-year-old man identified as Nisar Khan to complete legal formalities related to a proposed court marriage. Another man accompanying them reportedly introduced himself as the woman's brother-in-law.
The situation escalated after members of a local Hindu organization questioned the identities of those present and contacted the police. They alleged that the woman's family did not recognize the individual claiming to be her brother-in-law.
Police took all three individuals into custody for questioning and are verifying their identities, statements, and the circumstances surrounding the proposed marriage. Authorities are also in contact with the woman's family as part of the inquiry.
