A senior operative of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) has reportedly died in Islamabad under circumstances that have raised questions about what happened in the hours before his death.
The man, identified in reports as Qari Saeed Abdul Aziz, reportedly collapsed near a mosque in Islamabad on August 8 and later died. Reports said he had eaten at an undisclosed location before arriving for prayers.

Reported Links to the 26/11 Mumbai Attacks
Qari Saeed Abdul Aziz has been described in recent reports as a senior Lashkar-e-Taiba operative with alleged links to the network associated with the November 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.
The 26/11 attacks remain one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in India's history. Ten armed attackers targeted several locations across Mumbai, killing more than 160 people and injuring hundreds.
Lashkar-e-Taiba has long been identified as the Pakistan-based organisation responsible for planning and carrying out the attacks. Several senior figures associated with the organisation have subsequently been the subject of international investigations and sanctions.
