Assam: Three Arrested Over A Gang Rape of Class 10 Tribal Student in Chirang by muslim

A disturbing case involving the alleged sexual assault of a Class 10 tribal student has been reported from Chirang district in Assam. Police have arrested three men in connection with the case, and an investigation is underway.

According to the allegations, the minor girl was taken to a rented room where she was allegedly sexually assaulted by three accused identified as Peer Mohammad, Nasirul Sheikh and Harunul Hussain. The incident was reportedly recorded, and the video was allegedly circulated online.

Three Accused Taken Into Custody

Police have arrested all three accused named in the case. They remain in custody as investigators work to establish the exact sequence of events and determine whether anyone else was involved.

Because the alleged victim is a minor, authorities are expected to handle the investigation under laws relating to child protection and sexual offences.

Video Circulation Also Under Investigation

One of the serious aspects of the case is the allegation that the assault was recorded and that the video was subsequently uploaded or circulated online.

Investigators are looking into how the recording was shared, who may have accessed it, and whether additional individuals were involved in distributing the material. Authorities may also examine digital evidence, mobile phones and other electronic devices as part of the investigation.

Tension and Anger Reported Locally

The incident has reportedly caused anger among sections of the local tribal community. Some residents have expressed concern over what they describe as repeated incidents of crime and attacks in the area.

However, allegations surrounding individual criminal cases should be investigated on their own evidence, and the actions of the accused should not be used to make generalisations about an entire religious or social community.

Investigation Into Possible Wider Conspiracy

Authorities are also examining whether there was any wider conspiracy or whether other people assisted in the alleged crime or subsequent circulation of the recording.

At this stage, the three arrested individuals are accused of serious offences, but the investigation is still ongoing. Their guilt will ultimately be determined through the judicial process.

The case has once again highlighted concerns surrounding the safety of minors, sexual violence and the illegal circulation of intimate recordings. Further details are expected as police continue their investigation and gather evidence.
