Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh: A disturbing video from Indirapuram in Ghaziabad has gone viral on social media, showing a young man allegedly assaulting a woman inside a food outlet at Jaipuria Mall. The incident has sparked widespread discussion online, with many expressing concern over the violence captured on camera.
According to information circulating on social media, the incident took place at the California Burrito outlet located inside Jaipuria Mall in the Indirapuram police station area. The woman seen in the video is reported to be an employee at the restaurant.
Reports claim that the accused, a resident of Pratap Vihar, entered the restaurant's kitchen during the morning hours and allegedly picked up a knife before confronting the woman. Although the knife was reportedly in his hand, the viral video primarily shows him allegedly slapping and physically assaulting her while bystanders watched in shock.
Initial reports further suggest that the two were allegedly in a relationship and that the man became upset after suspecting the woman was close to another male colleague working at the same outlet. However, these claims have not been officially confirmed by the police and remain part of the ongoing investigation.
A visitor present at the mall recorded the incident on a mobile phone, and the footage quickly spread across multiple social media platforms, drawing strong reactions from viewers.
After the video surfaced online, local police reached the mall and began investigating the matter. Authorities are reviewing the viral footage, collecting statements from those involved, and examining other available evidence to establish the exact sequence of events.
As of now, the police have not released a detailed official statement confirming the motive behind the incident. The investigation is ongoing, and further action will depend on the findings of the inquiry.
