Raisen: 16-Year-Old Girl Allegedly Assaulted After Being Lured by Rakhi Brother

A disturbing case has been reported from Udaypura tehsil in Raisen district, Madhya Pradesh, where a 16-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted after being called to a restaurant by a man she regarded as her adopted brother.

According to the report, the girl had reportedly tied Rakhi to Gufran Mansoori for around five years and trusted him as a brother. Police are investigating allegations that this trust was used to lure her into a situation where she was allegedly assaulted.

Girl Allegedly Called to Restaurant

According to the account, on 15 August, Gufran allegedly contacted the minor and asked her to come to a restaurant, telling her that another girl wanted to meet her.

Because she regarded Gufran as her Rakhi brother, the girl reportedly trusted him and went to the location.

Police allegations state that Shivraj Dangi was already waiting there in a white Bolero vehicle.

The two men allegedly took the girl to a farmhouse known locally as “28 Acres” on the Silwani Road.

Alleged Assault at Farmhouse

The girl has reportedly alleged that she was beaten and sexually assaulted at the farmhouse.

She also alleged that Shivraj recorded the incident on his mobile phone and that she was threatened with serious consequences if she told anyone about what had happened.

According to the complaint, when the girl sought help from Gufran, whom she considered her adopted brother, she allegedly did not receive assistance and instead accused him of supporting the other accused.

The allegations are extremely serious and are being investigated by police.

One Accused Arrested

Police have reportedly arrested Shivraj Dangi in connection with the case. He was subsequently sent to jail, according to the report.

The investigation is expected to focus on the circumstances in which the minor was taken to the farmhouse, the alleged assault, the reported recording of the incident and the threats allegedly made against the girl.

Questions Over the Other Accused

The case has also raised questions about the alleged role of Gufran Mansoori, who the victim reportedly regarded as her Rakhi brother.

The allegations against him include facilitating the circumstances that led to the alleged assault and failing to intervene when the girl reportedly sought his help. His exact legal status and role must be established by investigators based on evidence and witness statements.

If police find sufficient evidence against anyone involved, further legal action can follow under the applicable provisions protecting minors from sexual offences.

Investigation Continues

The victim's statement, forensic evidence, CCTV footage, mobile-phone records and other digital evidence could be important in establishing what happened.

Because the alleged victim is a minor, authorities are required to protect her identity and handle the case under India's child-protection laws.

The allegations have not yet been proven in court, and every accused person is entitled to due process. The priority now is to ensure the minor's safety, conduct a thorough investigation and hold anyone found responsible accountable under the law.
