A case involving the death of a Gauhati University student, identified as Nimisha, is under investigation in Assam after her body was reportedly recovered from a homestay in Guwahati.
Police are investigating Nimisha’s movements before her death and her association with Asif Ali, who has been detained for questioning. Photographs reportedly recovered during the investigation show Nimisha and Asif travelling together.
According to the information provided, Nimisha had left her home with Asif at around 11 PM. She later allegedly contacted her mother and reported that she had been physically assaulted. Her phone was subsequently switched off.
Nimisha’s Association With Asif
Nimisha was reportedly a student at Gauhati University. According to the account circulating about the case, she had been in a relationship with a Rapido driver identified as Asif Ali/Ashiq Ali.
The account also alleges that a Hindu organisation had previously tried to warn Nimisha about the relationship. According to the claims, members of the organisation attempted to persuade her to stay away from Asif, but Nimisha rejected their warnings and allegedly threatened to file a complaint against them.

She Left Home With Asif
According to the information available, Nimisha informed her mother before leaving home and travelled with Asif.
