An alleged incident of harassment and intimidation involving a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) woman municipal corporator and her family has been reported in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. According to a report by DeshGujarat, the incident occurred on Saturday night as the family was travelling to attend a Raas Garba event.
The corporator was reportedly travelling from Isanpur with her son and two other people when a man identified as Shoaib Shah Fakir allegedly stopped their car and verbally abused the family.
What Happened on the Way to the Garba Event?
According to the report, the situation escalated when the corporator lowered her car window to speak to the men. One of the accused allegedly grabbed her hand and attempted to pull her out of the vehicle.
The men also allegedly tried to damage the car window and open the door. During the confrontation, the vehicle’s side mirror was reportedly damaged.
The incident left the family seeking immediate assistance. They contacted the emergency helpline 112 and requested police intervention.
Police Respond After Emergency Call
Police reportedly reached the location after the emergency call and initiated action following the family’s complaint. According to the supplied report, three people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
