A young woman from Maharashtra's Nalasopara has accused a man of allegedly deceiving her by using a fake identity on social media before attempting to force her into a relationship. She has also claimed that despite repeatedly approaching the police over the past three years, no effective action has been taken.
According to the complaint, the accused allegedly introduced himself as "Shivansh" on social media and gradually gained the woman's trust. She later discovered that his real name was Asif Khan, following which she ended all contact with him.
The woman has alleged that the accused made multiple attempts to abduct her and force her to elope with him. She further claimed that he threatened to kill her parents if she refused to comply with his demands, leaving her and her family in constant fear.
According to the victim, she has submitted several complaints to the authorities over the last three years, alleging harassment, intimidation, and threats. However, she claims that no meaningful action has been taken against the accused despite her repeated appeals for protection.
Frustrated by the alleged inaction, the woman has now reportedly warned that she may take the extreme step of ending her life if the authorities continue to ignore her pleas for justice. She has urged the police to act immediately and ensure her safety.
Police have not yet issued a detailed public statement regarding the allegations. The case is under investigation, and the accused's response to the claims has not been made public.
