Mathura, Uttar Pradesh: A murder case in the Neemgaon area of Mathura has taken a dramatic turn after police allegedly uncovered a plan in which a woman’s husband and his friend were involved in the killing of her former lover.
According to the case details, the victim, Vipin Thakur, was allegedly in contact with Kajal, a woman who had since married Vikram Singh. Despite her marriage, Kajal allegedly continued communicating with Vipin whenever she got the opportunity.
Instagram Messages Led to a Major Dispute
The investigation reportedly began after Vikram allegedly came across Instagram messages exchanged between his wife and Vipin. The discovery reportedly triggered an argument between the couple.
According to the police version of events, Vikram later consumed alcohol with his friend Aman Jatav. During the argument, Vikram allegedly told Kajal to contact Vipin and ask him to come to the village.
A message was subsequently sent to Vipin through Instagram, allegedly asking him to meet. Believing that the invitation had come from Kajal, Vipin reportedly agreed to travel to Govardhan Padari.
Before leaving, Vipin allegedly told his mother that he was going to Sanskriti University for some work.
Vipin Failed to Return Home
When Vipin did not return that night, his family became concerned and began looking for him.
The following day, his body was reportedly discovered in a wooded area. Police found injuries around his neck, and a murder investigation was launched.
Investigators recovered Vipin's mobile phone and began examining his recent communications, location information and social-media activity.
Police Trace the Alleged Conspiracy
According to the police investigation described in the case, the digital evidence helped investigators reconstruct Vipin's final movements and identify people allegedly connected with his death.
Police subsequently arrested Kajal, along with her husband Vikram Singh and his friend Aman Jatav, in connection with the murder.
Police have alleged that Kajal played a role in luring Vipin to the location, while Vikram and Aman were allegedly involved in the subsequent attack. Their exact individual roles will be established through the investigation and court proceedings.
Two Accused Injured During Police Action
The case details further state that Vikram and Aman were injured after police opened fire at them during an operation to apprehend them. Reports describing such police action should be understood as the police version of events, with the circumstances subject to official investigation.
The accused now face legal proceedings in connection with the murder.
The case has attracted attention because investigators reportedly used Instagram conversations, mobile-phone data and location information to piece together what happened to Vipin before his death.
For the victim's family, the investigation has brought some answers, but the full circumstances surrounding the alleged murder will ultimately be determined through the legal process.
