Meerut Baby Abduction Case: 9-Month-Old Girl Rescued After Police Track 200 CCTV Footages, 3 Arrested

A nine-month-old baby girl who was allegedly abducted while sleeping outside a Metro station in Meerut has been safely rescued, bringing relief to her family.

According to the details shared in the case, the infant was sleeping on the roadside near a Metro station when she was allegedly taken away. The sudden disappearance of the baby triggered an urgent search operation, with police teams working to trace those responsible.

Police Examine Around 200 CCTV Footages

To identify the suspects and track the baby's movements, the Uttar Pradesh Police reportedly examined around 200 CCTV recordings from the area and surrounding routes.

The investigation eventually led police to three people who were allegedly involved in the abduction and subsequent sale of the infant.

Police identified the arrested accused as Yusuf, Husne Alam and Akbar. According to the allegations, Yusuf and Husne Alam were involved in abducting the baby and later allegedly handed her over to Akbar in exchange for money.

The exact circumstances surrounding the alleged transaction are now part of the police investigation.

Baby Rescued Safely

The biggest relief in the case is that the nine-month-old child was recovered safely. She has been reunited with her family following the police operation.

The arrests are expected to help investigators establish the complete sequence of events, including why the baby was allegedly abducted, how the accused located the child and the circumstances under which she was allegedly transferred to another person.

Police are continuing their investigation and are examining the role of each accused.

CCTV Investigation Helped Crack the Case

The case once again highlights how CCTV footage can play an important role in investigating crimes involving missing or abducted children. By going through footage from multiple locations, investigators were reportedly able to piece together the movements connected with the incident.

For the baby's family, however, the most important outcome is that their child has been found safe.

The three accused have been arrested, and further legal proceedings will determine their individual roles and responsibility in the alleged crime.
