A disturbing case of alleged online deception and sexual exploitation has surfaced in Uttar Pradesh's Hapur district, where a Hindu widow has accused a man of befriending her on Instagram using a fake identity before allegedly exploiting and blackmailing her.
According to the complaint filed by the woman, the accused introduced himself as "Rahul" on Instagram and gradually gained her trust. Believing his identity and assurances, she entered into a relationship after he allegedly promised to marry her.
The victim has alleged that she later discovered the man's real identity as Mohsin. She claims that during the relationship, he sexually exploited her and secretly recorded obscene videos and photographs. According to her complaint, he is now using the explicit material to blackmail her.
The woman has further alleged that the accused repeatedly pressured her to convert her religion and threatened to circulate the private videos if she refused to comply with his demands.
Following the allegations, the victim approached the police and lodged a formal complaint. Authorities have registered the case and initiated an investigation into the matter. Police are also looking into claims that the accused was planning to leave the country, raising concerns that he may attempt to evade legal proceedings.
Officials have not yet disclosed further details about the investigation, and the accused's response to the allegations is not publicly known at this stage. The case remains under investigation, and further legal action will depend on the findings of the police inquiry.
